I told Dan to send me videos on youtube of his favourite drummers playing. Mainly so I could see how they were filmed, positioning of the cameras, movements and microphones. But also to see how the style of music is presented through the recording. I realise that most musicians are just filmed very simply as these musicians in particular are amazing and have too much talent to try and add more interest through lots of filming techniques.
It is also nice to see the sort of drumming dan aspires to.
